Andre Martin

Crafter

I didn’t set out to work in bidding. I started in sales strategy, moved into market intelligence, and then found myself right in the heart of commercial strategy and loving every second. Once I got a taste for bids, that was it. There’s something about the blend of creativity, strategy and competition that just hits different. Especially when you know you’ve helped put together a winning proposal you’re proud of.

Before joining BidCraft, I worked for different technology software and consultancy companies, where I cut my teeth in the commercial and bidding world focused on the public sector. That area is now my sweet spot, and I bring a different perspective to each challenge, shaped by my time in different areas within business.

I’m calm under pressure and happiest when ideas are flying. Whether I’m crafting a strategy or helping teams refine their message, I’m always looking for the angle that’ll make our clients stand out.

When I’m not deep in a bid, I’m probably watching football of course Chelsea (the only team in London), fixing up some old piece of wooden furniture I found on Facebook Marketplace, or building a PC that’s probably more powerful than it needs to be. Oh, and I have a soft spot for musicals, Miss Saigon gives me goosebumps every time, and Hamilton lives rent-free in my head (I know the lyrics to the whole musical).
